Just a few hours ago, I received an e-mail from our agency letting us know that China has granted us Pre-Approval (PA) to proceed with adopting Dang Cai Qun, an adorable little girl from the Henan province in China!
She’s a little bit less than a year younger than Miranda, and we’re excited for the two of them to become sisters 🙂
We really could not be happier. God has blessed us with one amazing daughter already, and if all goes according to our agency’s projections, we will be traveling to finalize the adoption of another beautiful little girl in about 5-7 months.
I sit here tonight in awe of God’s goodness and provision. My heart is at peace and yet also filled with yearning to be in China right now, wrapping my arms around my little daughter and beginning to show her the love of a mommy.
Our dossier is almost complete, and I’m hoping it will be ready to go to China within the next month, and from there we wait for China to review all of our paperwork and make a final determination on whether to give us permission to adopt Dang Cai Qun. We pray that they will officially approve us and that all steps in the process will go quickly.
And in the meantime, we will be doing all that we can to prepare to welcome her into our family. We want to honor her, her birth family, and her birth country – and ultimately, God – by being the best parents for her that we can be.
Please join us in praying that the rest of our adoption process would go smoothly and that we would be able to get to Cai Qun as soon as possible. Please also pray for Cai Qun, that she would be healthy and well taken care of during this time and that God would be preparing her and us for her to join our family!
