recipe for sauce is courtesy of my Aunt Jo, who uses it on meatballs, but we enjoy it enough that my mom and I decided to try using it for pulled pork, as well
Ingredients
2.5 lb. pork loin
4 cups ketchup
3 cups brown sugar
1 cup chopped onions
3 Tbsp. liquid smoke (found in the ketchup aisle at the grocery store)
1 tsp. garlic powder
Directions
Mix all ingredients except pork loin in a pan. Stir on stove top over medium heat until all ingredients are dissolved and mixed together.
Place pork loin in large crock pot and pour sauce on top. Cook for 8 hours on low.
Remove pork loin, shred, and return to crock pot and mix with sauce.
To Freeze
Cook as directed. Allow to cool and place into smaller containers to freeze.
Thaw and heat before eating.
